Chocolate Gravy Recipe – Holiday Gift Idea

Ingredients:
1 tablespoon cocoa powder (used for baking)
1 cup sugar
2 tablespoons all purpose flour
(Combine these three ingredients into a ziplock bag)
-
1 1/4 cup milk
1 tablespoon butter

Directions for Cooking:
Pour contents of bag into a sauce pan and whisk in 1 1/4 cups milk.
Bring to a boil, stirring constantly.
Once mixture is boiling, add in butter, and stir for approximately 1 minute.
Lower heat for an additional minute, stirring frequently.
Gravy will thicken
Turn off heat and serve over warm biscuits.

To give as a gift, prepare the recipe card by writing the directions for cooking into a note-card or printing from the computer for a more polished look. I chose to give these as a Christmas gift so I cut some cute Christmas Cards in half.

I also found some matching Tissue paper.

Place your ziplock bag of dry ingredients onto the tissue paper and wrap it up

(please ignore that it says “chocolate Pudding” I had actually made both on the same day)

Place inside a treat bag and seal with a ribbon. Puncture a hole through the recipe card to attach the directions

Tip: Switch it up for different holidays by changing the recipe card and tissue paper. Example: Use Red tissue paper for Valentines Day and attach a heart shaped cookie cutter to be used with biscuits (because Chocolate Gravy *must* be poured over biscuits).

  1. you might try this recipe it is good.
    Home made hot fudge toping
    1 cup of sugar
2 table spoons of Hershey’s coco
2 to 3 table spoons of milk
    ½ stick of butter

Put the sugar and coco in a pot and mix them together when mixed add in the milk get the milk mixed in with that when it is mixed in add the butter and put it on the stove and turn it on and stir constantly once it starts to get to a boil stop stirring it let it boil for 3 to 5 min. After that don’t stir and turn the burner off. It is going to be very hot and will burn you if you are not carful with it. You can serve it on ice cream as toping, cakes as frosting, or eat it by it self. Injoy!!!!
