Cookie Cutter Sugar Cookie Recipe – Freezable

Sugar Cookie Ingredients:
3/4 cup butter - softened
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 1/2 cups self rising flour (add 1 teaspoon baking powder and 1/2 teaspoon salt if using all purpose)

Directions:
In a large mixing bowl, cream the butter and sugar
Add in the vanilla and eggs and mix well
Finally, mix in the flour
Let dough chill in the fridge for at least an hour before rolling
- The dough can be made ahead of time and kept in the fridge for up to a week or frozen for longer

Once chilled, roll dough onto a floured surface and cut into desired shape using cookie cutters - Bake in a 350* oven for approximately 9 minutes.

After cooled, decorate as desired:
