Homemade Chicken Cake Patties – Recipe

These things are so good. Once you make them your family will continue asking for more, and they are so simple you will gladly oblige. Best of all, they don’t require any meat from your freezer.


Homemade Chicken Cake Patties – Recipe


2 large cans chicken (found near the canned tuna)
1 egg
2 tablespoons bread crumbs
2 tablespoons Ranch dressing
1/4 cup finely chopped walnuts

Extra bread crumbs for breading the patties
Oil for frying.

Pour oil into medium sized skillet about 1/2 inch deep and heat to a medium setting.
Drain juice from chicken and pour into medium sized mixing bowl
Add egg, 2 table spoons bread crumbs, Ranch dressing, and walnuts.
Stir well and make patties out of the mixture.
Roll the patties into the bread crumbs and fry in skillet until browned.
Flip and brown other side.

The Ranch dressing gives these patties a nice flavor as well as adding moisture. You can try subbing other spices for a more unique flavor. My family loves these on their own, but they also are great served as a parmesan chicken. You could even use crab or tuna to mix these up.
