Homemade Play Doh Craft Recipe

Homemade Play Doh Craft Recipe

My kids love Play Doh, but at the rate at which they seem to dry it out, it gets ridiculous constantly purchasing it. This recipe makes more than your standard little cup of Play Doh, and you can customize it to the shade you want. This is a great recipe to have on hand when you want to do something and getting out of the house isn’t an option. It would also make a great gift for a little creative tyke.

Ingredients:
1 cup flour
1/2 cup salt
2 tspn cream of tartar
1 cup water
1 tablespoon oil

Directions:
Mix dry ingredients
Add water and oil slowly, mixing all lumps out well
Microwave mixture for 1 minute then stir VERY well, repeat until there are no sticky spots
Cool
Knead well, store in zip lock bag, or air tight container

Lasts about 3 weeks.

Hint: Add a few drops of food coloring for different colors!

Family Recipe Chili

Family Recipe Chili

My family loves one pot meals. Soups, Stews, Chilis, etc; we love them all. This chili recipe is one that your family will love too! I remember my mom making this recipe sometimes, but she doesn’t like beans in her chili and she would leave them out.. It just didn’t taste the same without them. If you are one of those people that “tweak” recipes, I beg you to leave this one alone. Trust me, you won’t be sorry!

Ingredients:
4 medium onions chopped
3 lb ground beef
4 cans chili beans
2 12oz cans tomato paste
2 16oz cans tomato sauce
2 tspn salt
1/2 jar chili powder
2 cans water

Directions:
Cook meat and onions first
Place in pot, add all other ingredients and let it boil
Stir every 5 minutes
Lower heat, let cook at least 1 hour at a simmer
